The first painting is all about the beauty of nature and Bhagat's best creation.

Nature, lovingly called as Mother Nature, is undoubtedly God’s most precious and invaluable gift to humankind. Like a true mother, Nature nourishes, protects, pampers & loves each one of us unconditionally.Fragrance of nature is all prevalent, all encompassing & eternal, be it the scenic beauty, the enchanting mountains, the whispering forests, gently blowing breeze or the buzzing birds , all are mesmerized by it’s dazzling beauty.Since the time immemorial, Nature has inspired many poets, writers, painters, musicians to beautifully portray and sing in the glory of mother Nature, so are we, very humbly dedicating our work to our most beloved mother nature.

Profound and bewildering, our love-affair with nature has been a phenomena that can neither be fathomed nor illustrated.  For painter Bhagat Singh at the influence of nature is even more apparent. It becomes not just an inspiration for creativity but an integral part of the overall life. The appeal of capturing nature in his paintings is that the piece not only takes on the appearance of how the onlooker views the natural object, but it also infuses the mind and soul.

In his painting titled "Fragrance of Nature "Bhagat Singh has beautifully painted the beauty of nature ,leaving  a profound effect upon our senses, those gateways from the outer world to the inner, whether it results in disbelief in its very existence or feelings such as awe, wonder, or amazement.

Spreading some light on his work, the artists speaks that, "When we think of beauty in nature, we might most immediately think of things that dazzle the senses – the prominence of a mountain, the expanse of the sea, the unfolding of the life of a flower.  Often it is merely the perception of these things itself which gives us pleasure, and this emotional or effective response on our part seems to be crucial to our experience of beauty." And, so I have correlated the same in my work.

The first painting is all about the beauty of nature and Bhagat's best creation. The figures used in the painting rightly justifies its title. The clouds, the trees and the beautiful blue birds clearly tells us that nature is a thing of beauty. In his  2nd painting a tree in disguise of the earth can be seen. The tree symbolizes the earth which is beyond any caste, religion, happiness and sadness. The 4 yellow birds depict progress and the clouds are a symbol of life. The red birds on mountains mean honesty.

The 3rd painting is titled ‘Bliss’, which is very well justified by him. Here he has painted mountains in green background which has a tree in between loaded with white flowers. Yellow birds are singing merry songs and butterflies are adding charm to the entire scene. The red fruits indicatefulfillment and the entire scene is so serene and a treat to watch.

The 4th painting, ‘Pink Lily Pond With Champa Tree’ , is inspired from an artificial lily pond in the Chandigarh’s college of arts. The beauty of the Champa tree is one in a million and can’t be expressed in words. The red and blue birds enjoying on the top of the tree and the parrots flying towards the sky is the symbol of success. The pink lily pond is an eye opener for the visulaiser.

The other two paintings are named, ‘ Amaltas Tree with Red Birds and Champa Tree with Blue birds’. The tree of amaltas turns out to be yellow in summers, and therefore colour yellow is used. The beauty of clouds is shown using blue hue and the butterflies shown sucking nectar of white flowers can’t be expressed in lines. The entire work beholds the viewer and gives their eyes a treat.

In The Champa tree with blue birds, Bhagat  has portrayed the bunch of Amaltas as lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh who are bestowing blessings on earth. The butterflies took image of the human beings, who are accepting that love. Birds painted are a sign of happiness and in the background red and orange mountains are drawn followed by a green- blue creeper.

An artist was born in 1965, New Delhi and was named, Bhagat Singh. He had a knack for art from a very short age and took up art as a profession after getting inspired from his home ambience and his father. He holds a BFA & MFA, degree in painting from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi

Apart from attaining various certification , awards and accolades, Bhagat has worked for two years under the guidance of Prof. A. Ramachandran and for the next two years under Prof. Jai Zharotia (Delhi College of Arts).

MFA polished his thinking process and instilled in him the confidence to pursue his artistic pursuits. Bhagat’s distinctive style incorporates the flora and fauna so widely in the rich Indian folk, miniature and mural tradition. His paintings centers around nature and the exuberant colorful imagery used in his canvases submerged in flowering plants, fruiting trees, intertwined creepers and full-grown vegetation with butterfly, birds and bees hovering around, presenting a panoramic view of nature at play in a multitude of hues and forms. His work is not just about beauty and bounty of the nature, but also attempts to reflect his concern for the environment. Composition is the key aspect of Bhagat Singh’s work. He works hard to get the image right. His work includes oil on canvas, water color on paper and ink drawing on papers.

Bhagat’s style of painting includes stylization from miniature tradition and sometime inventing a self-created stroke like the rosettes that he used to paint clouds.

In the latest form of art, he wants to portray the indiscriminative attitude of man towards nature which has caused problems like global warming, and through the depiction of the nature he wanted to convey the destructor which would result in our own destruction. Nature is not copying the object, it is realizing one’s sensations. CEZANNE wrote “here I am realizing the realistic sensation and recreating it in my canvas”.
