Making Art: Materials and Technology at Piramal Museum of Art

"S.H. Raza: Traversing Terrains" at the Piramal Museum of Art - the legendary artist's first major exhibition since his death in 2016 - came to a close on November 15, with a massively successful four-month run that saw 5,000 visitors attend the exhibition alongside school groups from over 20 different educational institutions. Following S.H. Raza: Traversing Terrains, Piramal Museum of Art will present Making Art: Materials and Technology at Piramal Museum of Art, Lower Parel. Curated by Ashvin E. Rajagopalan and Vaishnavi Ramanathan the new exhibition will open on 15 February, 2019.


S.H. Raza: Traversing Terrains saw an expansive events programme which included special partnerships with some of the leading art and cultural institutions such as Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation (JNAF) and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) to showcase their institutional art collections to the general public; a series of events from heritage walks to film screenings with the Raza Foundation and Alliance Française de Bombay; panel discussions delving into themes such as Migration and Making Art, Conversations on Collecting and special workshops for the visually impaired.
