PRAYAS a Non-Profit organisation had organised the 1st Edition of "WEAVE" We for the Weavers, a fundraising event to promote Odisha Handlooms on 7th Dec 2019 at Constitution Club, New Delhi. In support of the Noble cause an Ethnnic Fashion show was also performed. Eminent women walked on ramp in Ethnnic Odisha outfits followed by a talk show.
Chief Guest of the event Justice V Gopala Gowda, Former Judge- Supreme Court of India & Former Chief Justice of Odisha High Court, Special Guest Mr Anubhav Mohanty, Hon'ble Kendrapada MP, Guest of Honour Mr. Margani Bharat, Hon'ble MP- Rajahmundry, Shri Priyadarshi Mishra, Former MLA & Chairperson of Odisha State Housing Board, Shri S.K. Verma (Senior advocate, Supreme Court) appreciated the initiative taken by PRAYAS Managing Trustee and Volunteers.
Weavers from Odisha displayed and sold the handlooms of the State.
President of PRAYAS Mrs Rosalin Patasani Mishra gave credit to Director Sambit Samal and core team of the organization and extended her thanks to Chief Guest, all esteemed guests, Smt Paramita Satpathy, Dr Chidatmika Khatua, Rashmi Sahoo, Dhwani Jain, Rupashi Wadhawan, Manasi Satpathy, Amita Singh, Sudipta Nanda, Junthi Hota, Snigdha Mallick, Amrita Bharati, Bhawna Sharma, Nidhi Garg, Prachi Tara, Regina Wu, Abhilasha, and title sponsor Odisha Tourism & Fashion Partner You Funky of the event.
