Amidst the devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic the world over, and the tragic news of Soumitra Chatterjee’s demise, the book Soumitra Chatterjee: A Life in Cinema, Theatre, Poetry & Painting, authorized by him through a series of interviews to our authors Arjun Sengupta and Partha Mukherjee, could not be handed over as the moments slipped by. The book was in the last stage of production when Mr Soumitra Chatterjee was admitted to the hospital.
Now, on his birth anniversary on 19 January, 2021, Niyogi Books, in collaboration with Prabha Khaitan Foundation and Kitaab Books, is proud to announce the virtual release of this pictorial book, on the life and times of the legend—Soumitra Chatterjee.
