Teachers create and facilitate multi-sensory experiences
What makes a happy school and a happy learning
environment?
A place where -
·you belong
·you’re appreciated
·your approach will
be supported, and
·you’re important.
The vision of GIIS – to
be a global leader in teaching and learning says it all. Developing a culture where everyone is a
learner and has something to offer others is the key to happiness for all. Happy
schools are where children
feel challenged but competent, where they work hard but enjoy it, where
achievement is the product but not the sole objective.
Our teachers create
and facilitate multi-sensory experiences, which deeply engage and stimulate
young minds. Lessons are experiences and teachers are excited
and challenged to make them as powerful as possible. Students are actively
engaged in learning. Teachers makes the academic program more exciting
and interesting. Hands-on creative activities help empower a child who may be
struggling with the demands of the curriculum. Varying textually based learning
with student oriented discovery and self-propelled activities takes out some of
the sameness of the day to day classroom life.
Our buildings are
specifically designed to open up learning beyond the four walls of a classroom.
Our visitors expand
and deepen the student experience whilst creating a truly cohesive
wider community.
Staff and students share
a common respect and admiration for one another and the atmosphere
within the school has a warm and friendly feel. Students
say what they really mean and listen openly to others’ perspectives; students
provide constructive criticism and are receptive to feedback.
People are learning
from each other not just facts, but morals, values and ethics that
the school stands for –the acronym, MAHATMA.
