Delhi, 15 May, 2018: Indian Super
League outfit Delhi Dynamos today celebrated the AFC Grassroots Day by inviting
children, parents and veterans for a kick about at various parts of the city.
The club
celebrated ‘Family Day’ with the parents of the age group players by inviting
them to join a fun-filled training session and a drill prepared by the coaches,
personalized specially for the parents.
Meanwhile,
Reserve Team Coach, Rajat Guha took a session in Bhavnagar, Gujarat with more
than 50 coaches on the importance of training and development of young players
in the state.
As a part of
its tie-up with Special Olympics Bharat, the club also welcomed young Pooja
Kumari in its U-13 training camp as she along with her fellow athletes are
currently preparing for the 2018 Unified Cup in Chicago.
“Grassroots
Football has been our priority and we are glad to have introduced so many
people to the sport in just one day. Our goal though does not stop here and we
want to continue undertaking these activities to help promote the sport across
the city and introduce more and more people to the beautiful game,†Delhi
Dynamos CEO Ashish Shah said.
