Kala Drishti, a Delhi based NGO organized Paryavaran Mahotsav
New Delhi- Kala Drishti, a Delhi based NGO organized “Paryavaran Mahotsav†at Shiksha Sadan, Surajmal Vihar-Anand Vihar, Delhi by 4:30pm. Event has showcased various ways of saving environment and how art can be a part of each endeavour. There was different kind of workshops and cultural programmes like dance, art competition, Nukkad Natak on “Swachta†etc. Event was graced by the presence of Parvesh Sharma, former chairman of East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC).
Event was started with the dance performance by village children on the song of “Swach Bharat ka Irada kar liya humneâ€. After that child has presented Nukkad Natak on “Swachta†in which they have showcased a story of newly born bird who have struggled a lot for her life in this polluted world. Slum & village children were trying to convey the message that our environment is very important we need to save it for our better future. Event was followed with the many cultural activities like art competition, essay writing, poem etc. At the event many delegates were present like Dr. K.K. Madan, OSD School Branch Head Quarter, Education Directorate, S.K. Sharma, Principal, Govt. SBV Krishna Nagar, R.K. Badal Lecturer and Rachna Jain, Founder, Indraprastha Hub were present.
Parvesh Sharma, former chairman of East Delhi Municipal Coorporation (EDMC) said “It is our responsibility that we should clean our environment in the same way in which we clean our house. According to an International survey, New Delhi is the Greenest Capital of the world and at the same time it is the most polluted one too. Every individual should come forward and take active participation in environment prevention.I want to thank Kala Drishti, to start this initiative and educating & aware people about their responsibility towards nature.
